Политическое движение американцев мексиканского происхождения [Chicano, Mexican-Americans] в Калифорнии. Участники движения, в основном сельскохозяйственные рабочие, выступают в защиту своих прав и за улучшение условий труда, проводят забастовки. Наиболее существенные события в истории движения - создание в 1962 Национальной ассоциации сельскохозяйственных рабочих [National Farm Workers Association] С. Чавесом [Chavez, Cesar] и принятие Конгрессом в 1968 Закона о двуязычном образовании [Bilingual Education Act of 1968]
